Administrator – Public Sector

Orange Recruitment are currently recruiting for an Administrator to join our client, a Public Sector Body based in Dublin 2. This is an initial 6 month contract opportunity with the possibility of extension. The successful candidate will work from home but must be able to commute to the office when required. Salary for this position is €24,601 per annum.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Providing support to the Pharmacovigilance Department and Pharmacovigilance Manager Administrative support in the processing of adverse reaction and event reports
  • Entering adverse reaction and event reports (AR/AE) reports (initial/follow up) onto the organisation’s vigilance systems
  • Assisting in electronic reporting (importing/exporting) of reports
  • Providing support to the technical team in the processing and follow up of adverse reaction and event reports
  • Providing support to the Scientific Officer in the management of Clinical Trials adverse reaction reports
  • Duplicate searching, reconciliation of cases, scanning, filing of case documents and correspondence.
  • Maintaining records of in-house and archived adverse reaction and event reports Assisting in the compilation of data for monthly reports
  • Receiving, logging and following up on queries received by the Pharmacovigilance section
  • Diary Management, co-ordination and arranging of meetings both internally and externally
  • General administration/secretarial work including typing, post, telephone queries, filing, archiving and photocopying
  • Deputising for other administrators in the Pharmacovigilance section, as required
  • Working with colleagues to develop and implement quality management policy and practice
  • Working with the Senior Pharmacovigilance Administrator to agree appropriate performance related targets
  • Taking measures to identify and resolve issues impacting performance
  • Promoting a positive, open, friendly and professional working environment
  • Attending and contributing to Departmental and organisational meetings as appropriate
  • Liaising with relevant external organisations in relation to activities and processes relevant to section
  • Attending external meetings as deemed appropriate by the Senior Pharmacovigilance Administrator and Pharmacovigilance Manager
  • Ensuring that appropriate mechanisms are in place to support interactions with other areas of the organisation

 

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

To be considered for this post, candidates must have:

  • Minimum one year previous experience in a busy office environment
  • Ability to meet deadlines and reach targets.
  • Excellent organisation skills including the ability to prioritise and manage large volumes of work
  • Ability to use initiative and maintain output & productivity
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with relevant parties as required
  • Ability to engage with stakeholders and understand their needs
