Compliance Manager

We are currently recruiting for a Compliance Manger to cover a Maternity Leave contract for a government funded organisation with offices nationwide. This Maternity Leave contract is until the end of 2021. The salary of offer is from 55k to 77k.

The role;

The Compliance Manager is responsible for the operational management of organisations compliance function, which they provide on behalf of the Department of Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth (DCEDIY) to meet current and evolving business needs. The compliance function is responsible for ensuring childcare service providers are meeting key contractual obligations prescribed by the DCEDIY. The post-holder will be expected to influence the strategic direction of the function and working collaboratively with a range of internal and external stakeholders.

There will also be a focus on working collaboratively with internal units, including the Early Years Operations and Better Start teams, to ensure cohesive service delivery to the childcare sector. Depending on business needs within the Compliance, Audit and Risk (CAR) directorate, the post-holder will be expected to work interchangeably across a diverse range of business areas as they relate to the funded organisations. A high degree of flexibility is expected, including the ability to significantly contribute to the wider CAR management team, work autonomously and be solution focused. It should be noted that this is a joint managerial position whereby the post-holder will be expected to work collaboratively with a similar post-holder in delivering the overall team objectives.

Skills Desirable: – Relevant accountancy qualification / membership of recognised accountancy body – Understanding and experience of the Early Education and Childcare sector – Knowledge of workings of the community/voluntary/public sector – Knowledge of government accounting regulations.

The successful candidate will be located in any of the Pobal offices nationwide, subject to business needs and office capacity/availability. Travel to other offices from time to time may be required.
