Field Sales (Chemistry Instrumentation)

The role & responsibilities

  • Achieving set annual targets in respect of existing business and new growth.
  • Identifying, developing, and closing sales by prospecting and activity
  • Providing accurate weekly, monthly & quarterly forecasting data using Salesforce
  • Understanding & selling into the pharmaceutical, Industrial, food & beverage, and academic research sectors.
  • Actively managing leads through the sales process.
  • This includes using Salesforce leads from the manufacturer, emails, phone calls and other communication channels to proactively meet and exceed sales targets
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with key customers
  • Providing expertise for the successful implementation of sales & marketing strategy
  • Maintaining and updating CRM
  • Maintaining technical knowledge through courses and in-house product training

Key skills

  • Excellent track record in new lead generation and overachieving sales targets
  • Business development experience
  • A high degree of customer service orientation & excellent communication skills
  • The ability to work in a SME company (fast paced, ability to get stuck in, problem solver)
  • A positive attitude about company and marketplace
  • Experience working in the life science market

Qualifications

  • BA/BSc/MSc or PhD in Chemical Science is required
  • 2 years + sales experience
  • A Full, clean driving license
