Field Sales (Chemistry Instrumentation)
The role & responsibilities
- Achieving set annual targets in respect of existing business and new growth.
- Identifying, developing, and closing sales by prospecting and activity
- Providing accurate weekly, monthly & quarterly forecasting data using Salesforce
- Understanding & selling into the pharmaceutical, Industrial, food & beverage, and academic research sectors.
- Actively managing leads through the sales process.
- This includes using Salesforce leads from the manufacturer, emails, phone calls and other communication channels to proactively meet and exceed sales targets
- Developing and maintaining relationships with key customers
- Providing expertise for the successful implementation of sales & marketing strategy
- Maintaining and updating CRM
- Maintaining technical knowledge through courses and in-house product training
Key skills
- Excellent track record in new lead generation and overachieving sales targets
- Business development experience
- A high degree of customer service orientation & excellent communication skills
- The ability to work in a SME company (fast paced, ability to get stuck in, problem solver)
- A positive attitude about company and marketplace
- Experience working in the life science market
Qualifications
- BA/BSc/MSc or PhD in Chemical Science is required
- 2 years + sales experience
- A Full, clean driving license
