Junior Payroll Officer

Our client are actively looking to recruit a Payroll Officer to join their team on a permanent basis. Based in Dublin 9, the salary for this position is 35,000 per annum.

Duties and Responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring the smooth running for a weekly payroll
  • Manage payroll aspects of all new starters and leavers
  • Ensure all timesheets are dealt with in a timely manner
  • Responsible for all statutory deductions
  • Prepare and post all payroll related journals and accruals and perform all Balance Sheet reconciliations
  • Monthly and annual PAYE returns
  • Ensure sufficient controls are in place and adhered to
  • Provide timely and accurate reporting to internal and external auditors
  • Manage the Payroll mailbox to ensure employee’s emailed queries and requests are answered in a timely manner and dealt with appropriately
  • Work with Internal employees to ensure that payroll runs smoothly each week
  • Payroll administration

 What we’re looking for

  • IPASS Qualification
  • Some previous experience assisting/running a payroll would be an advantage
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to organize and work with large volumes of data
  • Strong and confident communicator with good interpersonal skills
  • Be familiar with ROS and PAYE reporting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
