Medical Secretary required for Dublin 12

Our client based in Dublin 12 is currently looking for a Medical Secretary. This is a temporary contract initially with the view to a longer term opportunity.

Duties and Responsibilities will include:

  • Scheduling and confirming appointments
  • Ensuring all paperwork is complete and that patients are given relevant information
  • Ensuring patient confidentiality, privacy and data protection at all times
  • Retrieval, filing of patients reports and discharge summaries
  • Communicating with patients and patient’s relatives with discretion and confidentiality
  • Dealing with sensitive information over the phone
  • Responsible for incoming and outgoing post
  • General administrative/secretarial duties: typing, photocopying, filing, answering phone calls

The successful candidate should have:

  • Previous experience in a Medical Secretarial/Receptionist role
  • Excellent typing speed and accuracy
  • Excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills
  • IT proficient
  • A relevant qualification is desirable
