Sales Account Manager – Life Sciences

The Role

  • Promotion of Reagents, laboratory equipment and software
  • Maintenance of existing customer business
  • Cold calling new customers and introducing the full range of products
  • Calibrate customer instrumentation on site
  • After sales support.
  • Provide customer training on the use of the full product range
  • Understand and demonstrate the full lab product range
  • Requirement to work to GMP and ISO Standards
  • Generate and qualify sales leads
  • Preparation and presentation of sales contracts and proposals
  • Attend exhibition and seminars

The Requirements

  • Knowledge of ISO: 9001 quality systems
  • A third level degree in Life Sciences, preferably Biotechnology or Microbiology
  • Understanding of GMP and GLP
  • No sales experience is necessary but an understanding of the principles and practices of sales
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Accurate and precise record keeping
  • Ability to travel as required within the sales area greater than 60% of the time including nights away from home.
  • A valid Passport and Driving License must be held
